Rec Department Plans Halloween Carnival

The Manheim Township Recreation and Park Planning Department will host its fifth annual Halloween Carnival on Saturday, Oct. 30. The event will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Carriage House at Stauffer Park, 1241 Lititz Pike, Lancaster.

The event will include Halloween-themed carnival games, a haunted expedition, and entertainment for youths of all ages. The Manheim Township Police Department will host a Trunk or Treat featuring trunks decorated by various groups and businesses, and families are encouraged to come in costume.

The parade and costume contest will start at 1:30 p.m. at the tennis courts. Awards will be presented to those with the best costume in each of the following divisions: 4 and under, 5 to 8, 9 to 12, and groups.

Admission to the carnival is free, and participation in carnival games and activities requires tickets. Tickets are available for a fee, payable with cash only. Parents and guardians do not need to purchase tickets unless they would like to participate.
