Performances Planned At Greystone Hall

The Colonial Theatre will perform the two-act drama "The Manor" by Kathrine Bates once again at Greystone Hall, 1034 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, after a year off due to COVID-19. Performances will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 11 and 12; Thursday and Friday, Nov. 18 and 19; and Friday and Saturday, Nov. 26 and 27, as well as on 2 p.m. on Sundays, Nov. 14, 21 and 28.

The play is based on real events that took place in the late 1920s at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, Calif., where the play has been presented annually since 2002. On the East Coast, the play premiered at Greystone Hall near West Chester in 2017. This site had already represented the Beverly Hills mansion in a docudrama on the Investigation Discovery channel in 2015.

In "The Manor," directed at Greystone Hall by Sam Barrett, the scenes take place in various rooms of the mansion and the cast and audience move in small groups to those rooms in rotation.

Seating is limited. To purchase tickets, visit http://www.colonialplayhouse.net/the-manor. Tickets include refreshments at intermission.
