Directed and produced by WHS language arts teacher Connie Hiliar, the play tells the story of Anne Frank, played by Elise Donovan, who was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and moved with her family to the Netherlands at the age of 4 when the Nazis gained control of Germany. By May 1940, the Franks were trapped in Amsterdam due to the German occupation of the Netherlands. They went into hiding in July 1942, living in rooms concealed behind a bookcase in the building where Anne's father, Otto Frank, played by Foster Shrom, worked. From then until the family's arrest by the Gestapo in August 1944, Anne kept a diary she had received as a birthday present.

The cast also includes Aubree Hamer as Mrs. Frank, Abagael Mateyak as Margot Frank, Zachary Flaiz as Mr. Van Daan, and Abbie Bender as Mrs. Van Daan. Jaxon King will play Dussel, Carly Ruchalski will play Mr. Kraler, and Miep will be played by Dale Day. Additional male voices will be provided by Ryan Styer, Rye Boland, and Zachary Flaiz.

This show is open to the public. Tickets, which are discounted for students and seniors, may be purchased at the door. Masks are required for audience members inside the school building.
