The Boose family is organizing Light Up Terre Hill, which will occur during Christmas in the Park. Residents are invited to help welcome the holiday season and unite the community with light from luminarias along their sidewalk. Participants are asked to light their luminarias on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 5 to 9:30 p.m., as well as on Sunday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 9:30 p.m., if possible. Christmas in the Park guests will tour decorated houses both nights.

Luminarias can be placed in front of residents' homes along the edge of their sidewalk or curb. Luminaria kits are available to purchase; each kit includes 10 luminaria bags, 10 battery-operated tea candles and a small bag of sand. The proceeds will benefit the park. Residents may also use their own supplies to make luminarias.

To prepurchase luminaria kits, visit https://terrehilldays.com/. Kits may be picked up on Saturdays, Nov. 13 and 20, at the pavilion in Terre Hill Community Memorial Park, 210 Lancaster Ave., between 1 and 3 p.m. Kit pickup can be arranged for those who cannot visit the park on Nov. 13 or 20.
