Bird-in-Hand Stage recently announced the opening of "The Christmas Tree Ship," a new show from Blue Gate Musicals. The musical tells the story of one woman's determination to continue her husband's mission of bringing Christmas trees to their Chicago community. The new musical is inspired by the true story of the famous Christmas tree ship, the Rouse Simmons.

"The Christmas Tree Ship" opened on Oct. 28 and will run through Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, on the Bird-in-Hand Stage, located at 2715 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bird-in-Hand.
