AO Orthopedic Surgery, led by Dr. Vincent Avallone Jr., joined UPMC on Nov. 1 as Othopaedic Specialists of Central PA-UPMC, with offices in Lebanon and Lancaster.

Avallone, who brings more than 30 years of orthopedic expertise to UPMC, is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and has practiced independently in Lebanon and Lancaster since 1990. He specializes in sports-related injuries such as rotator cuff injuries, ligament and meniscus injuries, fractures and tennis elbow, as well the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis and carpal tunnel, and he performs total joint replacements. Avallone performs surgeries at UPMC Lititz as well as at surgical facilities in the Lebanon area.

Avallone noted that as part of the UPMC network, he will be able to provide additional services through advanced technology, increased comprehensive care, access to health education programs and other services.

Avallone is accepting new patients in Lebanon and Lancaster. Orthopaedic Specialists of Central PA-UPMC is located at 801 Orange St., Lebanon, and 1160 Manheim Pike, Lancaster. Both offices are open on Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
