Lake View Bible Church, 383 Lake View Drive, Manheim, will present "Long Foretold: The Journey of the Magi" on Sunday, Dec. 19, at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The play begins five and a half centuries before Jesus' birth with Daniel in Babylon, and it continues many years later, when magi of the first century travel to Bethlehem to worship Jesus. The narrative progresses through Herod's attempt to discover the Christ in order to kill Him, as well as God's redirection of the magi, thwarting Herod's plan.

The play concludes with the ultimate reason Christ came to Earth - to offer the way for mankind to return to God.
