Mount Joy Rotary Honors Students

The Donegal High School Counseling Office & Career Resource Center has announced that Christine "C.C." Emswiler and Conner Hyle are the Mount Joy Rotary Students of the Month for December. Students of the Month are honored by members of the Mount Joy Rotary during the club's monthly luncheon meeting.

C.C. is the daughter of Dennis and Christine Emswiler of Maytown. She is on the field hockey team and has started as goalie for three years. She is also a member of the Key Club, where she heads a project called Letters From Home. This project entails collecting and distributing thank you cards to active-duty and retired service members. C.C. is also a member of the National Honor Society. Outside of school, C.C. has assisted with summer camps at Under the Willow Preschool. In August, she enlisted in the United States Army, and she will ship out shortly after graduation. Her goal is to become a combat medic specialist.

Conner is the son of Jason and Lisa Hyle of Mount Joy. He is active in many groups at Donegal, including the football team, tennis team, snowboarding club, German club and chess club. He is also a member of the National Honor Society. After graduation, Conner plans to attend Penn State University to major in electrical engineering.
