George Michael Tribute Show Scheduled

The Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N. George St., York, will present "The Life and Music of George Michael" on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. U.K. performer Rory Phelan and New York City performer Craig Winberry star in the new, concert-style show, featuring hit songs from Michael's early days with Wham! through his solo career, including "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," "Freedom," "Faith," "Careless Whisper" and "Father Figure."

Attendees will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, a negative COVID-19 PCR test completed within five days of performance time, or a negative COVID-19 antigen test completed within 24 hours of performance time, as well as a valid photo ID. Per current CDC guidance, masks are encouraged during events, and masks are required for guests under the age of 12 who are unable to be vaccinated. Appell Center staff and volunteers will be masked at all times.
