Civil Air Patrol Presents Awards

Three local adult members of Jesse Jones Composite Squadron 304 Civil Air Patrol were recognized by Pennsylvania Wing's Group 2. The group commander, Maj. Gregg A. Rubright, Robesonia, presented the awards at the conclusion of the annual conference held virtually due to COVID-19.

Capt. Gregory Sollenberger of Quarryville was named the Group 2 Aerospace Education Officer of the Year. He is the squadron's deputy commander for seniors as well as the aerospace education officer and chief of information technology.

Senior Master Sgt. Glenn Knight of Lititz was named Professional Development Officer of the Year for the group. He also serves as a national chair for CAP's Volunteer University.

Tech. Sgt. Gerhard Heim of Willow Street received recognition as the group's Most Outstanding Logistics Officer. Squadron NCO and transportation officer round out his duties.
