Students Of The Month Recognized

Lower Dauphin High School seniors Paige Berzinski and Matt Giampetro were recently named Students of the Month for January by the Rotary Club of Hummelstown.

Paige is the daughter of Jim and Michele Berzinski. She is active with the school's Mini-THON, serving this year as co-captain of the publicity and promotions committee. She is a three-year member and the president of the National Art Honor Society, as well as a two-year member of the National English Honor Society and History Honor Society. Paige is also a member of the Science National Honor Society and participates in the Health Careers Exploration Program at the Hershey Medical Center. In the community, she has danced at McCann's School of Dance for the past 13 years, training in a number of styles. She also mentors younger dancers at the school. Paige plans to attend college to major in pre-medicine with the goal of becoming an OB-GYN.

Matt is the son of Jessica and Davie Giampetro. He is the founding vice president of the Computer Science Honor Society at the high school. He is also a two-year member of the Science National Honor Society and History Honor Society, a two-year committee member with Mini-THON and a three-year member of the Ski Club. In the community, he has been involved with East Hanover Township's summer recreation program and volunteers with the Hummelstown Historical Society. He also was a youth baseball umpire. He plans to attend Penn State University to major in computer science.
