A 12-mile hike will be held on Sunday, March 20, in the Jim Thorpe area at Mauch Chunk Lake. Hikers will spend much of the time on the old Switchback Railroad and travel up Pisgah Plane to Pisgah Vista, if open. Hikers should bring good footwear, snacks, lunch, and water. If carpooling, attendees should meet at the east parking lot near Red Robin at the Galleria Mall to depart at 6:30 a.m. There is a carpool fee. A 6-mile hike on the Turkey Hill Trail and Enola Low Grade Rail Trail loop will take place on Sunday, March 27. The trail could be muddy depending on the weather. Hiking poles could be useful, and hikers should bring snacks and water. Hikers will depart at 10 a.m. from the Turkey Hill Overlook Trail.
