Valentines Distributed Through Touch A Heart Initiative

Blue Ridge wrapped up its ninth annual Touch A Heart initiative with another banner year. Through the support of individuals, schools and civic groups, Blue Ridge delivered more than 11,000 handmade valentines to over 70 organizations, including nursing homes, hospitals and VFWs. These organizations, in turn, placed the valentines into the hands of nursing home residents, veterans, soldiers and other individuals who may not otherwise have received a Valentine's Day message this year.

Members of the Lititz VFW auxiliary were among those who partnered with the Blue Ridge Touch A Heart initiative by making Valentine's Day crafts and assisting in delivering the crafts and handmade cards to several nursing homes. The Lititz American Legion and its auxiliary also assisted.
