After a short business meeting, Lauren and Steve Ferreri from the Pennsylvania Game Commission will present "History and Management of Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area." MCWMA comprises 6,000 acres on the border of Lebanon and Lancaster counties. Although it was created for the management of Canada geese, it is home to hundreds of species of wildlife and is designated as one of six globally Important Bird Areas by Audubon International. MCWMA also hosts the Pennsylvania Game Commission's only Visitors Center, which welcomes approximately 150,000 visitors annually. The Ferreris will speak about the habitat management that makes MCWMA a birding hotspot as well as the continuous improvements to the grounds and center that make it an interactive learning space and a location for recreational activities.

The meeting is free and open to the public. For more details, call 717-984-2738 or 717-725-2717.
