Chamber Singers To Perform At State Conference

Lower Dauphin High School's Chamber Singers vocal ensemble will perform at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Conference on Friday, April 8.

Being selected to perform at a state or national conference of music educators is one of the highest honors for a vocal ensemble, and this year's performance will be the fourth for a Lower Dauphin High School choir group in the past decade, with others occurring in 2011, 2014 and 2017.

The Chamber Singers is a select, auditioned group of vocalists under the direction of Elizabeth Colpo. The ensemble will perform works by Passereau, Debussy, Hagenberg, Whitacre, and Garrett at the PMEA Conference. The Chamber Singers has also been recognized as a 2021 National Finalist in the high school division for The American Prize in Choral Music.

Members of the Chamber Singers include seniors Christianna Harchuska, Emma Waughen, Cadence Kanode, Katie Estes, Samantha Farace, Deneysha Roman, Kristen Ajala, Joshua Given, Jack Wolfe, Conor Grubb, Donovan McDonald, Dylan Hassinger, and Andrew King; juniors Lily Ditty, Audrey Meyers, Abbie Carter, TJ Fausnight, and Aden Weigle; sophomores Marina Weidman, Kaitlyn Hoffman, Abigail Foran, Amber Abela, Nathan Wolfe, Mason Barrick, and Silas Howard; and freshman Hunter Meyers.
