South Asian Association of Lancaster (SAAL) will hold its annual Festival of Colors on Saturday, April 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Neffsville Park, 209 Petersburg Road, Lancaster. The event will celebrate Holi and Baisakhi. Holi is observed all over India to herald the onset of spring, which is viewed as a season of new growth, renewal and hope. In historical scriptures, the Holi festival marks the triumph of good over evil.

The event will include traditional rituals (puja), kite flying, water balloons and games, as well as a run, during which participants will be doused with color.

Tickets are required for everyone age 5 and up. SAAL members will receive a discount on the registration fee if they sign up in advance. Tickets are limited.
