Fundraisers To Support Missionaries In Haiti

An online auction and drive-through meal planned in April will benefit missionaries serving in Haiti through YWAM St. Marc Haiti.

The meal will be offered on Saturday, April 23, at Hinkletown Mennonite Church, 2031 Division Highway, Ephrata. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., organizers will offer SEI Catering platters including roast beef, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, a roll and whoopie pies. The meals will be available by donation. Preregistration is requested by emailing stmarcfundraisers@gmail.com or calling 717-738-3303.

An online auction will be available prior to the meal from Tuesday, April 12, to Tuesday, April 19, at http://www.pannebeckerwolf.com. Auction items will include a beach house rental, patio furniture, home decor, Haitian-made apparel, and gift certificates for restaurants and experiences.

A concert of prayer will be held to support the fundraisers starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 22, at Hinkletown Mennonite Church.

YWAM St. Marc Haiti, formed in 1991, has two dozen staff members who live in Haiti full time to meet evangelistic, training and felt needs. Proceeds from upcoming fundraisers will be used for the staff members' living costs and discipleship training. Haiti currently faces severe inflation, a collapsed government, earthquake cleanup, kidnappings, gang violence, and other challenges.
