Friendship Community will hold its 29th annual FEST, 5K, and chicken barbecue drive-through on Saturday, May 7, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the organization's main office, 1149 E. Oregon Road, Lititz.

The event will begin with the 5K Run, Walk, and Wheel for Capabilities. Afterward, attendees may browse items at the plant and art tent sales featuring Friendship Heart Gallery & Studio artwork. The chicken BBQ drive-through will also be open. All proceeds will benefit adults with intellectual disability and autism.

Friendship Community is celebrating 50 years as a faith-based organization cultivating capabilities of individuals with intellectual disability and autism in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. It features an arts day program, a home-based services program, Lifesharing, and 24 residential homes serving more than 150 individuals in the two counties.
