The Mount Gretna Area Historical Society has announced plans to publish a new book, "Mount Gretna: Through the Decades," which will illustrate the decade-by-decade growth of Mount Gretna from the 1880s to the present day. The 36-page, spiral-bound book will feature full-color pages, along with maps showing the community's growth and changes. Included in the book, which will measure 8.5 inches high by 14 inches wide, will be photos of historic postcards, posters and memorabilia from the area. Susan Hostetter, chair of the historical society's board of directors, noted that the volume could serve as a guide book for people exploring the town on foot.

Separate costs have been set for historical society members and for nonmembers. Additionally, sponsorships are being accepted. All sponsorships received by Saturday, April 30, will have the option of being listed by name or anonymously in the book.
