Teens, Young Adults Invited To Job Fair

Manheim Community Library, 15 E. High St., will host a job fair for teens and young adults on Thursday, May 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the basement community room.

For those new to the workforce, there will be opportunities to meet with local employers hiring for entry-level, part-time, and summer positions. Hiring information will also be available from companies unable to participate in person. The library recommends that attendees wear business casual dress, bring a resume if they have one, and be prepared to answer basic application and interview questions.

Employers that plan to participate include Canine Country Club, Carel, Fenner Precision Polymers, B.R. Kreider & Son, Molly's, Mount Hope Estate and Winery/Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, and Pleasant View Retirement Community. Additional employers may visit http://www.manheimlibrary.org/job-fair to register. There is no fee to participate. Employers may choose to staff a table to meet prospective employees, have a hiring flyer placed on the information table, include promotional items in a bag for participants, and offer a 15- or 30-minute presentation. Those who staff a table will be provided with a table, two chairs, and public Wi-Fi.

The library also reminds job seekers that they can learn about career planning resources and job, interview, and resume coaching available for free with their library card by visiting http://www.manheimlibrary.org/employment-resources.
