"The Wizard Of Oz" Posted

Vital Theatre Company will present its first production in Lancaster County, "The Wizard of Oz," at Mickey's Black Box, 101 Rock Lititz Blvd., Lititz, on Saturday, May 7, at 1 p.m.

Geared for audiences ages 2 to 7, "The Wizard of Oz" features a cast of six actors, Munchkin puppets, one flying monkey and a humorous witch in a reimagined land of Oz. The one-hour production is directed by Stephen Sunderlin and choreographed by Rebecca Frazier and is based on original adaption and direction by Vital Theatre Company co-founder Michael Schloegl. Featured in the cast are Kevin Michael Buckley, Colton Colbert, Chris Godshall, Taylor Hadsell, Dylan Randazzo, and Catherine Shelley.

Vital Theatre Company is dedicated to producing entertaining and educational theater for young audiences. It commissions and produces three to five musicals for children each season. It was founded in 1999 and is based in New York City. In 2022, the company set up an outpost in Lancaster, where it will offer theatrical productions and host educational camps and classes.
