Claire Rumsey recently received two $1,000 scholarships.

First Capital Federal Credit Union recently announced that Claire was one of two people to earn the 2022 Dennis Flickinger Honorable Scholarship. The First Capital scholarship program was renamed the Dennis Flickinger Honorable Scholarship Program in 2016 to honor former CEO Dennis Flickinger, who retired in 2015.

Additionally, Claire was one of three winners of the 2022 scholarship contest held by the York Chapter of Credit Unions. The scholarship will be put toward her first year of schooling.

Claire, a First Capital member, is a senior at Eastern York High School, where she is the vice president of her graduating class and the treasurer of her school's chapter of the National Honor Society. She is also a member of the field hockey and varsity softball teams. Claire plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh in the fall to study architecture with a minor in construction management.
