Ephrata Concert Band To Perform In Park

The Ephrata Concert Band will present a concert at Ephrata Borough's Grater Park on Cocalico Street on Sunday, June 19, at 7 p.m. The program will be the community band's first concert in the park since 2019, as the band canceled its 2020 and 2021 seasons due to the pandemic. Martin Hinkley will conduct.

This program will be the first of five weekly Sunday evening programs by the band. The final program of the summer will be on July 17. Each concert will feature tunes spanning diverse genres, such as marches, classical music, show tunes and patriotic numbers. The Ephrata Concert Band got its start more than four decades ago.

Admission is free. Donations to the Ephrata Concert Band Committee will be accepted. Audience members are advised to bring folding chairs and face masks.

In the event of extreme weather, the concert will be moved inside the Ephrata Recreation Center a few blocks away on 130 S. Academy Drive.
