Conservation District Presents Scholarships

The Lancaster County Conservation District awarded three Ann Brown Memorial Scholarships for the year 2022. Connor Eisenbach, Mary Weiss and Chloe Ryan each received $1,000 to use toward payment of college tuition or related class expenses. The students demonstrated a keen interest in using their college studies to make a difference in the future health of the natural environment.

Connor, a senior at Warwick High School, is the son of William and Nicole Eisenbach of Lititz. He plans to major in conservation biology at State University of New York ESF.

Mary, a senior at Manheim Township High School, is the daughter of Andy and Randy Weiss of Lancaster. Mary plans to study wildlife biology at Ursinus College.

Chloe, a senior at Ephrata High School, is the daughter of Stacie and Patrick Ryan of Ephrata. She plans to major in environmental science with a minor in wildlife conservation at the University of Delaware.

The annual scholarship program is open to graduating seniors who plan to continue their education by pursuing a two-year associate degree or four-year baccalaureate degree, with the intent of majoring in a curriculum that focuses on natural resources and/or conservation. Applications are received every March and are available at http://www.lancasterconservation.org under the education tab.
