Conestoga Valley High School's Matthew Oberly was named the 2022 Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 (IU13) Annie Sullivan Award recipient.

Named after Helen Keller's lifelong teacher and companion, the award is presented to a professional who portrays exemplary care of students with disabilities while going beyond the classroom to help those in the community at large. The award recipient is nominated by his or her peers and selected by a committee of past award recipients.

Oberly has been a special education teacher with the IU13 since 2017 and has worked at Conestoga Valley High School since his hire five years ago.
