Local Fundraiser Adds Books to the Shelves

A fundraiser held at East York's Kingston Square UPS store helped add new books to the shelves at Kreutz Creek Library in Hellam.

During the winter months, customers gave donations as part of the Toys for Tots literacy campaign run in conjunction with Scholastic. A total of $1,400 was raised and divided between three beneficiaries, with the library being one. Kingston Square UPS store manager Kiersten Levens and Kingston Square UPS store co-owner Joe Renda recently delivered books to Kreutz Creek Library manager Jennifer Johnson and York County Libraries board member Lynda Randall.

Kreutz Creek Library is located at 66 Walnut Springs Road in Hellam and is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 8 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library is closed on Sundays. Masks are optional. Community members with questions should phone the library at 717-252-4080.
