Event To Benefit Local First Responders

Britain Hill Venue & Vineyard, 790 Little Britain Road North, Quarryville, will present its second annual Southern End Love Community event on Saturday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event, which will benefit the first responders of southern Lancaster County, will feature local vendors, games, prizes, food trucks and live music.

The highlight of the day will be an opportunity for community members to meet local first responders and check out their police cars, firetrucks and emergency vehicles. Micillicutty the police mini pony will also be in attendance, and first responders will offer demonstrations and games as well.

Local shopping vendors will be set up inside the venue, and attendees will have an opportunity to win gift baskets. All proceeds will benefit local first responders, including the Quarryville Fire Company, the Robert Fulton Fire Company, Wakefield EMS, the Pennsylvania State Police and the Quarryville Police Foundation, which consists of a group of community members who fundraise for the Quarryville Police Department's training and equipment.

Britain Hill will also showcase its semisweet red wine named Southern End Love. A portion of the proceeds from purchases of Southern End Love will benefit first responders. Wine slushies, wine and beer will also be available for purchase.

Music will be provided by The Three Amigos, an acoustic group that covers country, classic rock and oldies. Food vendors will include On The Roll and Kettle Express Concessions. The event will be held rain or shine.
