The 5K Rabbit Run will kick off the 20th annual Rothsville Community Day on Saturday, Sept. 17. The event will take place at Forney Field, Church Street, Rothsville.

The 5K fun run and walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. Registration for the run will begin at 9 a.m. at Forney Field. There is a registration fee. Proceeds will benefit WellSpan's Prescription for Caring program, which provides assistance for those who cannot afford vital medications.

Free events of the day will include kid's games and activities, competitions, and food. The helicopter candy drop, sponsored by the Rothsville Ambulance Association, will take place at 10:45 a.m. The barrel train ride and bounce house will return. In the afternoon, ZooAmerica will present a show featuring animals. Door prizes from local businesses will be given away throughout the day.

More details will be announced in early September. The event is organized by Rothsville area churches in conjunction with the Rothsville Fire Company and the Rothsville Ambulance Association.
