Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, will offer special events to the community. Programs are open to the public, but preregistration is required by contacting 717-964-3808 or governordick@hotmail.com and providing a name and phone number. Attendees should meet at the Environmental Center. Programs are free unless otherwise stated.

Story Forest will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 22. The program will feature story time and activities for children of all ages. A fee applies.

Golden Eagle Hikers, a group for hikers over age 50, will step off at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 24. The 2- to 3-mile hike at an easier pace will include rocks and hills.
