LWV To Offer Voter Registration

The League of Women Voters (LWV) of Lancaster County will offer voter registration at the Summer Music Series held on Sunday evenings at Long's Park in Lancaster. The free series is sponsored by the Long's Park Amphitheater Foundation. The Lancaster LWV pop-up tent can be found near the stage at the amphitheater.

Lancaster League members will assist people as they register to vote for the first time; re-register to account for changes in address, party affiliation, name, and more; apply to vote by mail; obtain an absentee ballot; find their polling place; and answer questions.

To register to vote in the November general election, an individual must be a U.S. citizen and must be 18 years old by Tuesday, Nov. 8. Registration is free, but the final day to register for the November general election is Monday, Oct. 24.

Established nationally in 1920 and locally in 1948, the League of Women Voters is a volunteer, nonpartisan organization founded to educate citizens about elections and assist in voter registration.
