Nurses Complete Training Program

Lebanon VA Medical Center (Lebanon VAMC) recently recognized seven nurses who had completed the Registered Nurse Transition to Practice (RNTTP) Residency Program. Receiving certificates of completion on July 13 were BilliJo Blatt, Amelia Clay, Anna Gockley, Dominique Hoover, Rachel Lowrie, Leah Quinn and Angela Wolfe.

The comprehensive, yearlong RNTTP program provides nurses who recently graduated from a nursing program with a supportive network of senior nurses and preceptors, who help augment academic education with clinical experience. The Veterans Health Administration provides the RNTTP as a developmental training program that has both didactic and clinical components designed to provide post-graduation registered nurses the opportunity to perform the roles, duties, patient care activities, and procedures that are carried out by registered nurses. Participants receive the full benefits of being a federal employee during the program. Lebanon VAMC has graduated more than 20 residents from the RNTTP program since 2018.
