Scouts Request Stocking Fillers

Denver Cub Scout Pack 132 and Blue Ridge Communications have begun their annual kickoff for Stockings for Soldiers. Items will be collected until mid-November and be used to fill stockings for military personnel and then shipped out.

Requested items include pocket tissues, manicure sets, sewing kits, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss and dental picks, razors, hand and foot warmers, body lotion, body wash, travel-size soap, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream packets, feminine hygiene products, black or white tube socks, cough drops, individual packets of pain relievers (i.e. ibuprofen, acetaminophen, naproxen sodium) and sinus and allergy medications, lip balm, playing cards, small peg board games, unbreakable ornaments, small stuffed animals, signed Christmas cards with messages, new boxes of Christmas cards, prayer squares, bandages, non-aerosol insect repellent, Christmas stockings (18 to 24 inches in length), quart-size bags, purse-size wet wipes, and non-aerosol sun screen.

In addition, requested food items include individually wrapped and snack-size portions such as ramen noodles, K-Cups and single-serve hot beverage mixes (e.g., coffee, cider, and hot chocolate), sugar and artificial sweeteners, tea bags, breakfast cereal bars, granola bars, protein bars, beef sticks, beef jerky, chewing gum, candy, chips, cookies, peanut butter, jelly, cheese crackers, peanut butter crackers, pretzels, nuts, and sunflower seeds.
