Festival To Benefit Make-A-Wish

LeAnn Starner's Summer Festival for Make-A-Wish will take place on Saturday, Aug. 13, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Cedar Lake Campground, 5051 Pine Hill Road, Dover. Entrance will be available beginning at noon.

Vendors will offers their wares starting at 1 p.m. Music will be presented by Billy Zee from 1 to 2 p.m. and Borderline from 3 to 7 p.m., and food trucks will be on-site from 2 to 6 p.m. Attendees can meet baby kangaroos from 1 to 3 p.m., with photo opportunities available for a fee. The event will also include Make-A-Wish items for sale, a live auction, offerings from Brookmere Winery, and giveaway drawings.

There is a fee per person, with free admission for children age 3 and under. Children age 12 and under will receive a gift. Attendees may bring chairs and pop-up canopies.

Ticket can be purchased in advance by calling 717-292-2918. In the case of inclement weather, ticket proceeds will considered a donation.

For 24 years, LeAnn Starner and her team have been helping to grant wishes for local Make-A-Wish children.
