Honey Brook Concerts Rescheduled

Due to excessive heat and possible summer storms, two events in the Honey Brook Borough Concerts in the Park series were canceled but have been rescheduled.

Rizzetta's Tones, which was set to present a concert on June 12, will perform on Sunday, Aug. 28, at 5:30 p.m. Rizzetta's Tones is a Celtic-American band whose members perform on a variety of musical instruments, such as silver flutes, whistles, an autoharp, a Greek bouzouki and a button accordion. The concert featuring the Fortunatos was canceled on Aug. 7 and has been rescheduled to Sunday, Oct. 2, at 4 p.m. The band performance New Orleans funk music. For more information, visit http://www.paulcolombomusic.com/the-fortunatos.

In addition to the rescheduled concerts, the final concert in the series will be held on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 5 p.m., when the Bones Brigade will be featured. All concerts will take place in Honey Brook Borough Park, 71 Pequea Ave. (Route 10), Honey Brook, which is located behind the Honey Brook Post Office. In lieu of an admission fee, nonperishable food items will be accepted for the Honey Brook Food Pantry.

Concert attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for seating, as well as picnic dinners. Alcoholic beverages and pets are not permitted in the park.

In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel will be made by 1 p.m. on the day of the show. A cancellation message will be recorded on the borough phone line at 610-273-2020.
