Choruses Plan Anniversary Celebration

The York White Rose and Keystone Capital choruses will hold their 75th anniversary celebration at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, 2701 N. Third St., Harrisburg, on Saturday, Sept. 10. The choruses received a $7,000 AIC Outreach grant from the Association of International Champions (AIC) and Harmony Foundation International (HFI) to bring 2013 international quartet champions Masterpiece to the celebration.

The York White Rose and Keystone Capital choruses will host a youth outreach program at Cedar Cliff High School, 1301 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, on Friday, Sept. 9, followed by a possible youth festival on the morning of Sept. 10. Masterpiece will conduct the youth workshops and perform on Saturday in a show at 3 p.m. and at a dinner and parade of quartets at 6 p.m. The youths will also perform in the afternoon show, during which Masterpiece will be joined by international quartet medalist Throwback and internationally-ranked chorus Parkside Harmony, as well.
