A food drive to benefit Water Street Mission began on Aug. 22 and will continue through Sunday, Sept. 18. Items may be dropped off at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Homesale Realty, 150 North Pointe Blvd., Lancaster, on Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or at Tec Centro, 102 Chester St., Lancaster, on Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Anyone who cannot drop off their items may call Dianne at 717-615-5532 to schedule a pickup.

Needed items include breakfast cereal; condiments; peanut butter; pasta and pasta sauce; canned meals, such as pasta, soup or stew; canned chicken and tuna; canned vegetables; side dishes like mashed and scalloped potatoes or rice; quick meals, such as noodle bowls and skillet dinners; and cooking oils.
