Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, will offer special events. On Friday, Sept. 9, Story Forest: Butterflies! will begin at 10:30 a.m. The children's story time program will discuss butterflies followed by a craft. A fee applies.

A faster-paced fitness hike of 4 to 6 miles will take place on Sunday, Sept. 11. Hikers will step off at 10 a.m.

Drawing Close to Nature will be offered on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 10:30 a.m. Attendees will learn to capture the clouds and sky. They should bring their own journal. There is a fee.
