Power Packs Project Sets Event

The Donegal Power Packs Project will hold a Community Engagement Event on Thursday, Sept. 22, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Marietta Community Chapel, 1125 River Road, Marietta. The organization's mission is to feed children and empower families through a nutritional and educational weekend food program.

At the event, attendees may learn more about the Donegal Power Packs Project, a nonprofit, volunteer-run project that is hosted by The Donegal Foundation. A general overview presentation will be held at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

Many opportunities are available for businesses, organizations, churches, and residents to serve the local community through the Donegal Power Packs Project. Volunteers are needed for school distributions, food inventory, and several administrative roles.

Enrollment forms will be available for Donegal students to register, and students can also visit http://www.tinyurl.com/Reg202223DPPP. Registered students will receive a food pack on Thursdays at the end of the school day beginning Oct. 6. Students do need to register each school year; enrollment is open throughout the school year; and there is no charge to families that participate.
