Lititz 5K For Life Slated

The seventh annual Lititz 5K for Life will take place on Saturday, Oct. 8, at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave., Lititz. Registration will open at 6:45 a.m., with an 8 a.m. start for the 5K and a 8:30 a.m. start for the 1-mile fun run and walk. People may participate in person or through a virtual option.

The event offers a challenging course through the streets of the Lititz community. Participants may choose to run the 3.1 miles with professional timing on-site and prizes for the first-, second-, and third-place in-person winners, or they may take part in the fun run. Participants may push a stroller, ride a mobility scooter, or be accompanied by their dog.

Proceeds will go toward supporting women, children, and families, including women who are in need during pregnancy or after giving birth and people who are victims of human trafficking. All registration fees and event sponsorships will go to women's organizations that support this cause.

To register, visit http://www.Lititz5kForLife.com. Those who sign up by Saturday, Sept. 24, will receive a discount and a free T-shirt. After Sept. 24, the registration fee will increase, and shirts will be available while supplies last. Children age 10 and under may register for free.
