The Lancaster County Bird Club (LCBC) will meet Thursday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster. The program "Black Bears in Pennsylvania" will be presented by Emily Carrollo from the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC). A short business meeting will precede the program.

The PGC's Black Bear Program handles everything that involves black bears in the state. This program will explore the PGC's Black Bear Program and the basic biology of black bears in Pennsylvania, and there will be discussion on how humans can live with bears harmoniously despite increases in human-bear conflict in areas of the bear's range where the population has made significant recoveries.
