A Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank community blood drive will take place at Fairmount, 1100 Farm Crest Drive, Ephrata, on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The blood drive will be held in the Farm Crest Community Room on the east side of campus.

To schedule an appointment, call 800-771-0059. Walk-ins will also be welcome until 6 p.m., but scheduled appointments will be given priority. Potential donors should bring a photo ID. All donors will receive a Papa John's buy-one-get-one-free large pizza certificate, one free Penn Cinema movie pass, and a certificate for a free dozen mini doughnuts from Weaver's Store Inc.

Current CDC recommendations make masking for donors and staff optional. Masks will be provided for anyone who wishes to wear one.
