Library Sets October Events

Several special events will take place at the Moores Memorial Library, 9 W. Slokom Ave., Christiana, during October.

Children's events include free play with blocks and figures during regular library hours and preschool story time, held every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the children's corner.

Older children will enjoy Lego Club, which is held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 6 p.m. Lego bricks are supplied for building themed creations that will be displayed in the library.

Beginners and experienced knitters and crocheters are invited to attend Knit and Natter at 1:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Participants can bring a project to work on or get ideas for a new one as they chat with like-minded crafters.

Aerobic drumming sessions are held on Tuesdays beginning at 6 p.m., with the exception of Oct. 25. There is a small fee for the class.

An expert will be at the library to answer questions about enrolling for Medicare on Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. The session will be repeated on Friday, Nov. 11, at 10:30 a.m. The talk is free, and registration is not required to attend.
