Scoops Ice Cream & Grille owner Jason Risner presented a check for $675 to the Friends of the Mountville Library on Sept. 22. The check represented proceeds from a fundraiser for the library group, held at Scoops, 312 Primrose Lane, Mountville, on Aug. 16.

Accepting the check from Risner was Friends of the Library president Karen Denlinger and library representative Lisa Lane. Denlinger expressed thanks to Risner as well as to the community for their support both of the Scoops night and of the Friends group's recent book sale. Proceeds from both events will be used to support programming and operations at the Mountville Branch Library.
