Museum Invites Public To Help Name Skeleton

The Lancaster Medical Heritage Museum is holding its Spooky Season Fundraising Campaign. Until Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31, community members may cast votes to name the museum's 19th-century skeleton, which is housed in the lobby.

A nominal donation is required to vote. The nominees are Apollo; Bonaparte; Imhotep; Bones, a.k.a. Bones McCoy, which is a character from Star Trek; and Rocky.

To vote, visit http://www.givebutter.com/skull or text your choice to 53555.

All donations will benefit the Lancaster Medical Heritage Museum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, that is making plans to open in a new location. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The Lancaster Medical Heritage Museum has a mission to preserve medical heritage with particular attention given to Lancaster County. This goal is carried out through exhibitions, educational scholarship, and research.
