Library To Host Author Talk

The Hershey Public Library will host science fiction author Nnedi Okorafor in the Keystone Ballroom at Hershey Country Club, 1000 E. Derry Road, Hershey, on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. Okorafor will appear in conversation with Dr. Ellen Stockstill from Penn State Harrisburg.

Okorafor is a Nigerian American author of African-based science fiction, fantasy, and magical realism. Her works include "Who Fears Death" (currently being developed into an HBO series), the "Binti" novella trilogy, "The Book of Phoenix," the "Akata" books and "Lagoon." Her debut novel "Zahrah the Windseeker" won the Wole Soyinka Prize for Literature. Nnedi has also written comics for Marvel, including "Black Panther: Long Live the King," "Wakanda Forever," and the "Shuri" series. Her middle grade novel, "Ikenga," will be available to buy with the cost of a ticket.
