PA Central Federal Credit Union (FCU) will host a Shred It Event on Friday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of PA Central's Palmyra branch, 1220 E. Main St., Palmyra. The event will be held rain or shine. PA Central FCU members and the community are invited to the event to have any unneeded documents securely destroyed.

Shredding documents protects people's privacy and can prevent identity theft. Shredding will be done on site.

The free event is part of a fundraising effort for The Caring Cupboard Food Pantry in Palmyra. However, participants are asked to make a monetary donation to The Caring Cupboard in lieu of a shred fee. Each dollar donated to The Caring Cupboard helps the food pantry to provide much-needed food for individuals and families in the Lebanon County community.
