Society Plans Quilt Drawing

The Manheim Historical Society will hold a drawing for a new king/queen-size quilt with two matching pillows. The items were donated to the society by the late Jack Detwiler.

The Mariner's Compass patterned quilt was handmade by one woman, making the stitching even and consistent. The quilt measures 104 by 114 inches and is made in shades of gray. Washing instructions are included.

Tickets will be sold until Saturday, Dec. 10. The winning ticket will be drawn on Wednesday, Dec. 14, and the winner will be contacted by phone.

Tickets are available by contacting Audrey Geib at ageib@ptd.net or 717-665-6417 or other MHS volunteers. Tickets will be sold at upcoming events and at the Heritage Center, 88 S. Grant St., Manheim, on Mondays from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets are also available by calling 717-665-7989. To learn about upcoming events, visit http://www.manheimhistoricalsociety.org.
