Township Staff, Police Set Open House

The Manheim Township Board of Commissioners, the staff at the Manheim Township Municipal Office and members of the Manheim Township Police Department invite Manheim Township residents to attend one of four upcoming open house tours in November. The open houses will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 to 11 a.m.; Thursday, Nov. 10, from 8 to 10 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.; and Monday, Nov. 14, from 5 to 6 p.m.

The purpose of the tours is to allow the public to view the facilities to understand the staff's request for the construction of a new, combined municipal building that houses the growing needs of both the municipal staff and the police department. Both entities have a long history of serving Manheim Township from the Manheim Township municipal building, which was constructed in 1991 at 1840 Municipal Drive, and the police station, built in 1973 at 1820 Municipal Drive.

Each tour will begin at the municipal building and will include a question-and-answer session about the current facilities and the new proposed facility. Visitors will also be asked to take a quick survey at the end of their tour.
