Students, Staff Honored At SSBVM

The SSBVM Virtue Awards are awarded monthly at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary School. These awards highlight a different virtue each month, such as kindness, diligence and patience.

The program encourages members of the entire student body to be mindful of their actions and exemplify traits of that virtue throughout the month and beyond. Nominations are submitted by the teaching team, with examples of the nominees' altruism in action.

"Kind Speech" was September's SSBVM Virtue of the Month. The following SSBVM students were honored for exemplifying this virtue: Caden Johnson, Alex Bolesky, Luca Carricato, Sia Hronis, Cameron Mescall, Candy Tecayehautl and Valentina Torres. Also honored was school secretary Laurie Still and learning support teacher Megan Zapcic.

SSBVM, 360 E. Water St., Middletown, is a parochial elementary school serving students in prekindergarten through eighth grade. Visit http://www.sevensorrowsschool.com or email mkennedy@ssbvm.org to learn more. To schedule a tour, call 717-944-5371.
