Holiday Grief Workshop Set

All Saints Episcopal Church, 310 Elm Ave., Hershey, will host "'Tis the Season: Caring for Ourselves During the Holidays" on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. in the parish hall.

"'Tis the Season: Caring for Ourselves During the Holidays" will focus on coping with grief during significant times; caring for oneself; and planning, preparing, and implementing strategies for coping with grief, tailored for individual needs. Along the way, the presenter, Anne Burgess, will share stories to illustrate her ideas.

Anne, a widow at 51, studied grief extensively, resulting in her reconciliation of her husband's death and helping others through local, state, national, and international presentations.

Anne, who is a native of North Carolina, and her current husband, Cliff, arrived in Pennsylvania recently to be closer to some of their children. Anne retired from the University of Southern Mississippi as an associate professor of child and family studies after obtaining her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from UNC Greensboro and East Carolina University and her doctorate in adult education from Kansas State University. In their retirement, she and Cliff enjoy traveling, reading, and visiting their grandchildren. Anne uses Cliff's photographs to illustrate stories she writes for their grandchildren.
